Walkthrough: Out of Sight
11/02/2015Out of Sight is a supernatural otome game by GlassHeart. It has seven endings, and since I had fun playing it the other night, I decided to try to get all of them. This is not the official guide, nor are the steps here the ONLY way to get the certain ending, but it is the way how I got them, so... there's that.
Warning: This is not spoiler-free. Skip the paragraphs if you don't want to be spoiled.
Ending 1 - No Such Thing As Ghosts
- "An unrealistic happy end.."
- "Try to find help."
- "My phone number...?"
- "Messing with people is fun."
- "Probably fake."
Ending 2 - A Better Place
- "Sweet, but predictable."
- "Try to find help."
- "My phone number...?"
- "Messing with people is fun."
- "Probably fake."
- "Ask Caleb to go while you sleep."
- "He would finally be free."
Ending 3 - A Strange World
- "Sweet, but predictable."
- "Try to find help."
- "My book...?"
- "Why not?"
- "Probably true."
- "It might be a sign."
- "Don't say anything about it."
- "I would miss Caleb."
This is the first ending that I got. And heck, it was super sad! I like how it was written, however, I couldn't help but feel extremely saddened by this ending. There's also a CG here, and... aww, it just added to the sadness of the whole thing. No, I'm not kidding, this ending is really, really sad. Caleb doesn't seem to have any happy endings, to be honest.
Note: After getting all the endings, I played it again for the purpose of this ending guide, and oh my goodness. There's an epilogue! But eff that epilogue, it made me even sadder! Gosh. Darn. It. Why? Tell me, why? I swear, if you don't want to get all teary-eyed, do not replay Caleb's route after you've gotten all seven endings. Do not.
Ending 4 - Forgotten
- "An unrealistic happy end."
- "Keep searching."
- "I don't need you to walk me home."
- "Keep walking in silence."
- "I probably won't go."
Orion is a pretty okay guy. I didn't like him that much at first (or perhaps I'm just biased because I played Caleb first and thus, felt attached to him first) but he started to grow on me near the end. Hmm, for this ending, though, Lina ends up (surprise again) forgetting Orion.
Ending 5 - Grateful
- "An unrealistic happy end."
- "Keep searching."
- "I don't need you to walk me home."
- "Talk to him.."
- "I'll probably go."
- "No, it's wrong."
I wasn't very contented with this ending, to be honest. In this ending, Orion just disappears all of a sudden. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Lina gets sad, but she's grateful to have met him.
Ending 6 - Second Chances
- "An unrealistic happy end."
- "Keep searching."
- "Sure, why not?"
- "Talk to him."
- "I'll probably go."
- "Only if no one gets hurt"
- "I'll go."
Sort of a good end for Orion's route, but quite sad, too. In this ending, Lina gets to live after her car accident. Orion passes on to the afterlife, and the game ends with Lina promising to remember him forever. Actually, it can be considered a good end for Orion's path. However, for me it's still a sad ending. How does it feel to meet someone that you feel so connected to and then lose them all of a sudden? I don't ever want to find out.
Ending 7 - Into the Light
- "An unrealistic happy end."
- "Keep searching."
- "Sure, why not?"
- "Talk to him."
- "I'll probably go."
- "Only if no one gets hurt."
- "I'll stay."
This has to be my favorite ending. Romance-wise, it's also the only happy ending in the whole game. In this ending, Lina dies from the car accident, but she and Orion get to spend the afterlife together. Yes, that's the closest you can get to a happy ending in this game.
Ending 0 - Divine Intervention
- "An unrealistic happy end"
- "Go back to sleep."
You can only view this ending after you've gotten all seven endings, I think! It's a really fun ending, too. Summer, the angel you'll be seeing in the 7th ending, will be present in this ending. She'll actually be revealing the nitty-gritty background details of the whole plot, haha.
That's about it for the endings. If you want to read more about the game, you can check out my previous blog post about it here.
