Choices and Decisions

12/12/2013

It's crazy how one little thing can ruin an otherwise beautiful memory.

I've had a kinda dramatic day, and my eyes hurt. Technically, they just feel heavy I suppose. Why do eyelids get bloated anyway? Being an Asian, I have an almost monolid that I don't really like very much. But tonight... my eyes look like a frog's. Ugh. Haha.

I won't get into details, but... oh man, sometimes, people really should think hard before making decisions.

Okay, I know this is not directly related to visual novels, but, it's a bit indirectly related, so it should be okay. Haha.

Visual novels are filled with choices, right? Unlike a book, or a novel, a story's outcome will depend on the decisions you make and the choices you pick. If you get a bad end, the fault is all yours, and if you get a good end, then it still is your doing. It's like the future of the whole virtual world in the VN depends on you.

It's a lot similar to life.

You see, every decision we make can have a big impact on our lives. They're like ripples. Just one little droplet affects everything, and long after you do the action, the echoes will still travel throughout the place and go right back at you.

If you choose to hurt someone, be prepared to face the consequences of your actions. Whatever your choice may be, it will have an impact on your life, no matter how big or small it may be.

Who knows, what if you had to choose this windy morning between pants and a skirt? And since you chose pants, you managed to prevent a potentially embarrassing situation in the town square? Just... what if?

Think hard before you decide on something. Like what Hannah Baker from 13 Reasons Why said, "Everything affects everything."

Anyway, enough of the drama, hahaha. I'm currently playing G-Senjou no Maou, a Japanese visual novel. Well, the one I'm playing is an English translation from Fuwanovel I think, but I can't be too sure because it's a friend's copy and he just recommended it to me. Without giving me any background information on the game. Sheesh.

So far, I'm not yet deep into the game, but it's definitely professional! I think this is the first released Japanese visual novel I've ever played. The voice acting is superb. Haha. I enjoy playing this, and I think the voice acting would also be a good aid in learning Japanese. I tend to use the log system a lot to replay the recorded file. It's really cool.

I believe it's a pretty long game, and since these days I have been so preoccupied with my gazillion projects for school, I don't think I'll be able to finish it soon. *sigh* I'd really love to, but lately, all I could finish are the cute, smaller games that I could easily squeeze into my schedule.

Anyway, I'll be back to give an update once I finish this game. Haha. :) Jaaaa!
