High School Life!

1/05/2012

こんばんわみんさん!らんです。

Who among you here are in highschool just like me? Currently, at 14, I am in my 2nd year of high school. Haha, I know I put "15 year old girl" in my profile, but since I am turning 15 this year anyway, I just decided to, you know, put it there. Anyway, yes, I am a 14-year-old high school sophomore. And high school life is pretty hard, but fun. For one, studies are a whole lot harder!

Being a high school student is confusing too. I mean in school, we get treated like adults and are expected to act like adults but at home, people always treat us like little children. Especially parents. They are so confusing. They want us to act like adults but at the same time, they want us to remain their babies forever. Which is, like I said, confusing.

(This is more of like a rant from a young girl, I know, but I just wanted to share my feelings. I'm kinda new here and to be honest I'm not sure what exactly I could write.)

When I go home from school all tired and 'stressed out' my Dad always tells me, "Students are not supposed to be tired." Yes... he's right. I'm not supposed to. But I am. We're just so busy in school. And I guess some parents who've been out of school for almost 2 decades have forgotten how tiring (but fun) going to school is. At least, that goes for my parents. :)

But I do believe that high school is the best 4 years of a teenager's life. I mean it's amazing to be a high school student. We know so much about the world, yet we don't know very much either. And high school is also a confusing stage. We are too young to do stuff by ourselves, but we are too old to ask help from our parents. Of course, that also applies to love. We are too young to be in a relationship, but we are too old to control our own hidden feelings that wants to make itself known to the world.

Hidden feelings. Ha! I can totally relate to that statement. I never get the courage to admit to the person I like that I really like him. かれがだいすきです! Despite that, my friends always ask me advice regarding their lovelife. I don't understand it either, but words just seem to come out while giving advice to them. And in the end, it does good to their relationships with their boyfriends. I wonder about that, really.

In school though, I never fall behind. Haha! Maybe it's just because I can retain things my teachers have discussed in class by simply hearing them without reviewing my notes again. But I am extremely lazy. I'm just so lucky to be able to simply know things and all that because maybe if I wasn't such a good listener, I would get a big fat F on all my exams. I would love to get rid of my laziness but it's just there. Oh well.

Heyy... this was a pretty long post! So that's it for now.

またあしたね!
